Recharging Yourself

How many times have you found your concentration flagging during long (and, often, boring) meetings? And do you something feel a mild tingling pain in your lower back, especially after you've been working for a couple of hours? If you do, and even if you don't, it's always a good idea to keep recharging your life force from time to time.
After about three hours with of work (around noon), try out the following breathing exercise (pranayama)
  • Shut right/left nostril with your thumb and take in a long, deep breath and exhale through the left nostril.

You should also do the following exercise. Sit on a chair with your spine straight and look ahead. Exhale, twist your torso and your head as far to the right as possible. Inhale and return to normal position. Exhale and turn to the left; then inhale and return and to normal position. Repeat five times. This exercise improves blood circulation all over the upper body, relaxes the back muscles and enables you to work longer hours.
Eat your lunch by 1-1.30 p.m. along the same as breakfast. If regular lunches make you sleepy, try soup, toast and vegetarian or chicken salad.
